I would send a copy to the Agents instructing them to pay to the Indian Govt on their application such sums as have been expended in the payment of these pensions. And I would inform the India Office that this has been done.
But we must take care that this claim is not mixed up with those for convict expenditure, which we have not admitted to be valid.
